BARONESS Released From Hospital Following U.K. Bus Tour Crash

Savannah, Georgia-based quartet BARONESS was involved in a road accident on August 15 in England when the band’s tour bus reportedly plummeted for 30 feet over a viaduct after going through a security barrier during heavy rain. Nine people, including the four members of the group, were sent to the hospital, two of them with serious injuries. The cause of the incident is currently under investigation.

According to a new post on BARONESS‘s Facebook page, John Baizley (guitar, vocals) has been released from hospital. Allen Blickle (drums) and Matt Maggioni (bass) have arrived back in the United States.

All previously scheduled BARONESS shows have been canceled.

Baizley broke his left arm and left leg. Blickle and Maggioni each suffered fractured vertebrae. Pete Adams (lead guitar, vocals) was also treated and released from the hospital.

BARONESS released its new album, “Yellow Green”, last month via Relapse Records.
