Shan Man of the Phoenix, Arizona radio station 98 KUPD conducted an interview with Corey Taylor (STONE SOUR, SLIPKNOT) on September 28 at the Desert Uprising festival in Phoenix. You can now watch the chat in two parts below.
“House Of Gold And Bones – Part 1”, the first half of STONE SOUR‘s upcoming two-disc concept album, arrives on October 23, while the second half will come out next year, probably in May.
STONE SOUR has tapped Johny Chow as its live bassist for the band’s upcoming tour behind “House Of Gold And Bones”. Chow has formerly played with metal acts SOULFLY, CAVALERA CONSPIRACY and FIREBALL MINISTRY, and replaces Shawn Economaki, who bowed out of the band earlier this year for personal reasons.
STONE SOUR will play a couple of festival dates in South America in early November before heading overseas later this fall for a European tour.
SLIPKNOT took part in this past summer’s Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival — the band’s first full U.S. tour since losing bassist Paul Gray, who was found dead of an overdose of morphine and fentanyl at a hotel in Urbandale, Iowa in May 2010.
The band released a greatest-hits package on July 24 called “Antennas To Hell”.
SLIPKNOT‘s last collection of new material, “All Hope Is Gone”, came out in 2008.
