DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT: Quality Footage Of ‘Ghost’ London Performance

Fan-filmed video footage of Devin Townsend‘s special “Ghost” performance on Sunday, November 13 at Union Chapel in Islington, North London, England can be seen below. Joining Devin on stage at the concert was flutist and composer Kat Epple, who has released 24 music albums internationally, and performs live original music featuring flutes with her various ensembles. Epple has won 8 Emmy Awards and was nominated for a Grammy.

Even though “Ghost” was the fourth album to be made available under the DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT moniker, Devin recorded it third, because “Deconstruction” (the third album) was “a nightmare technically and I wanted to make something lovely before diving into that,” Devin previously said.

According to Devin, “‘Ghost’ is the mellowest (by far) and prettiest record I’ve done so far” with a “very wonderful vibe.” It was released simultaneously with “the shitstorm that is ‘Deconstruction’” — this past June via InsideOut Music.

“Deconstruction” and “Ghost” complete Devin‘s tetralogy album concept — a great journey through Townsend‘s different states of musical moods — which he started in 2009 with the albums “Addicted” (2009) and “Ki” (2009).

DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT will release “Contain Us”, a special tribute box set for its epic quadrology (“Ki”, “Addicted”, “Deconstruction” and “Ghost”) on November 29 in North America. “Contain Us” was designed and created by Man Alive‘s Tom Bejgrowicz (who also conceived the classic and must-have MISFITS “Coffin” box-set) and is the ultimate collection for every diehard Devin fan. Pre-orders are now exclusively available at CM Distro. The standard box-set is priced at $80.00 while the hand-numbered box with the 10″ and a lithograph drawn and autographed by Devin is $100.
