Premier Guitar ‘s Rebecca Dirks caught up with guitar tech Trevor Cole on March 25, 2011 at the US Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa during DISTURBED‘s “Music As A Weapon V” tour. In this segment (see below), Cole gives us a look at DISTURBED guitarist Dan Donegan‘s array of guitars and lets us in on how Dan has everything set up for the band’s tour.
DISTURBED singer David Draiman recently said that the band will take a break after completing its current tour, explaining, “We’re touring the States then a short South American run, but that’s it after that.” The band hopes to start writing its sixth album during the break, with Draiman adding, “We’ve not done anything yet. I know [guitarist] Dan Donegan has some riffs but we need to get in the right headspace and we can’t do that on the road.”
DISTURBED recently made available for sale a previously unreleased song, entitled “3”, at its official web site, Disturbed1.com. All proceeds from the sale of the track, which is available for $0.99, will go to benefit the Damien Echols Defense Fund, which pays for legal fees, forensic testing, and investigative fees for the three men known as the West Memphis Three who were unjustly convicted of murder in Arkansas in 1994. The Free The WM3 Support Fund is group of private individuals who strongly believe that Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin, and Jessie Misskelley are serving prison terms for murders they did not commit.
