EPHEL DUATH, the formerly Italian, currently U.S.-based band which is known as a modern mixture of avant-garde metal and progressive rock with jazz-fusion and hardcore punk elements, has entered Sharkbyte Studios (MACHINE HEAD, EXODUS, HIGH ON FIRE) in Oakland, California to begin recording its new EP for a spring release via Agonia Records. The effort will feature guest appearances by Steve DiGiorgio (DEATH, TESTAMENT, SADUS, OBSCURA), Karyn Crisis (CRISIS) and Marco Minemann (PAUL GILBERT, NECROPHAGIST, KREATOR, TONY MACALPINE).
In the six-minute video clip below, Minnemann plays an extract from the song called “Stardust Rain” and DiGiorgio performs the intro of the song “Black Prism”. At the end, we enter Sharkbite Studios and get a glimpse of what’s coming up next.

Alan Douches will master the material at West West Side Music (DEATH, SWANS, MASTODON, CONVERGE, BARONESS, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, CLUTCH) in New Windsor, New York.
