Guitarist PETER WICHERS Quits SOILWORK Again

Due to “creative differences,” guitarist Peter Wichers and Swedish metallers SOILWORK have decided to part ways for the second time.

Commented Peter: “I want to thank everyone who has supported SOILWORK over the years. It has been a wild and fun ride, but it’s time for me to explore different options in my career. I will cherish all the amazing moments I have gathered from my time with SOILWORK, and I would not be where I am today without the help from you fans, my family and SOILWORK.”

Wichers originally quit SOILWORK in late 2005 and was replaced by Daniel Antonsson (DARK TRANQUILLITY, DIMENSION ZERO).

Peter played on every SOILWORK album with the exception of 2007’s “Sworn To A Great Divide”.

SOILWORK‘s latest album, “The Panic Broadcast”, was released in Europe on July 2, 2010 and in North America on July 13, 2010 via Nuclear Blast Records.

“The Panic Broadcast” was SOILWORK‘s studio debut with axeman Sylvain Coudret, who joined in 2008.
