GUNS N’ ROSES members Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal (guitar), DJ Ashba (guitar), Dizzy Reed (keyboards) and Tommy Stinson (bass) took part in a press conference yesterday (Friday, December 14) in Jakarta, Indonesia ahead of the band’s planned concert in the city. You can now watch video footage of the question-and-answer session below.
As previously reported, tonight’s (Saturday, December 15) GUNS N’ ROSES show in Jakarta at Lapangan D Senayan was officially postponed until tomorrow (December 16) and moved to MEIS (Mata Elang International Stadium) indoor stadium, Ancol. This is due to the outdoor stage at Lapangan D Senayan being damaged by the heavy rains that occurred yesterday afternoon. Despite best efforts to remedy the situation, it’s been determined that the outdoor stage does not meet the necessary safety requirements for tonight.
GUNS N’ ROSES finished up its Las Vegas residency at the Hard Rock Hotel last month by having former guitarist and founding member Izzy Stradlin join the band onstage for the last three shows. Stradlin came out to play on a number of songs at all three gigs, including “14 Years”, “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door”, “Used To Love Her” and “Paradise City”. Stradlin last showed up to jam with the current version of the group at a show in London earlier this year.
He first returned to the stage with GUNS back in 2006 at a concert in New York City, playing with them for the first time since leaving the group in 1992.
Stradlin and GUNS singer Axl Rose were the only original members of the group to skip its induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame last April.
