I AM I: Video Footage Of BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR Acoustic Show

In addition to playing an electric set at this year’s edition of the Bloodstock Open Air festival — which was held August 9-12 at Catton Park, Derbyshire in the United Kingdom — I AM I, the new band led by former DRAGONFORCE singer ZP Theart, took part in a short acoustic performance at the event.

Fan-filmed video footage of the acoustic show — which included cover versions of BON JOVI‘s “Wanted Dead Or Alive” and BRUCE DICKINSON‘s “Tears Of A Dragon”, as well as an original song, “Stay A While” — can be seen below.

I AM I will release its debut album, “Event Horizon”, on CD and digital formats via Plastichead distribution on September 17 throughout Europe, coinciding with the album’s arrival in Japan.

“Event Horizon” was previously available on USB memory stick from the official I AM I web site, and this particular format will continue to be available for purchase only from the band’s homepage.

The CD and digital formats of “Event Horizon” will be available from HMV and all the usual record shops and digital outlets — iTunes, etc. —and can be pre-ordered from Amazon U.K., while the CD can be pre-ordered from Plastichead at this location.

Written and produced by Theart and Jacob Ziemba and mixed and mastered by Roland Grapow (HELLOWEEN, MASTERPLAN), “Event Horizon” is described in a press release as “an absolutely blistering slice of heavy rock liberally infused with Theart‘s passion, energy and soaring vocals.”

I AM I last month announced the addition of drummer Phil Martini (DOWN ‘N’ OUTZ, TOKYO DRAGONS, THE QUIREBOYS) to the group’s ranks.
