“Misery Reformatory”, a brand new song from JOB FOR A COWBOY, has been released via Amazon.com and iTunes. Check out an audio sample at this location.
“Misery Reformatory” comes off JOB FOR A COWBOY‘s new EP, “Gloom”, which was recorded at Audiohammer Studios in Sanford, Florida with producer Jason Suecof (TRIVIUM, CHIMAIRA, DEVILDRIVER). The effort features the first new music from the band since 2009’s “Ruination” LP, which landed at position No. 42 on The Billboard 200 chart. A late spring/early summer release via Metal Blade Records is expected.
JOB FOR A COWBOY‘s sophomore album, “Ruination”, was named “Best Extreme Metal Album” by the readers of Guitar World magazine, beating out the latest releases from BEHEMOTH, IMMORTAL and CANNIBAL CORPSE.
“Ruination” sold around 10,600 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The 10-song follow-up to 2007’s “Genesis” was tracked and mixed at AudioHammer with Suecof.
“Ruination” marked the JOB FOR A COWBOY recording debut of drummer Jon “Charn” Rice, who has toured with the band since the release of “Genesis”.
