FaceCulture recently conducted an interview with KORN guitarist James “Munky” Shaffer. You can now watch the chat in four parts below.
As previously reported, Shaffer and his wife Evis Xheneti are expecting their first child together in November, according to Radar Online. Xheneti, who is three months pregnant, made the official announcement, saying, “We are so utterly elated to announce that we are expecting our first child due late this fall.” The couple were engaged in May 2011 and married earlier this year in Paris.
Shaffer also has a daughter named Carmella Starfrom his first marriage.
The guitarist says he’s looking forward to becoming a dad again and told The Pulse Of Radio that he was inspired by ex-KORN guitarist Brian “Head” Welch and his daughter when they all got together last weekend. “His daughter is really — what a sweetheart. He’s an amazing father. Like, I’m looking forward to being half that good as a father. I am a father, but I get another go at it.”
KORN was joined onstage by Welch last Saturday (May 5) at the Carolina Rebellion festival in Rockingham, North Carolina, marking the first time in seven years that KORN played with Welch, who left the group in 2005.
KORN is touring behind its 10th studio effort, “The Path Of Totality”, and has just unveiled a new round of June tour dates, which will begin on June 15 in Quebec.
