Italian melodic folk death metallers KRAMPUS recently entered Black Mirror Studios in Udine, Italy to begin recording their full-length debut for a late 2012 release via NoiseArt Records.

According to a press release, KRAMPUS is an eight-piece band which offers an eclectic array of folk sounds with the usage of bagpipes, flutes, whistles, violins, and the Irish bouzouki combined with the modern metal sounds of heavy guitars, aggressive vocals, and melodic keyboards. In addition their innovative musical approach, the members of KRAMPUS address such themes as issues wotj humanity and nature, as well as environmental awareness. In March of 2011, the band released its first EP, “Shadows Of Our Time”. After playing a number of major festivals in Europe, the band issued a follow-up EP, “Kronos’ Heritage” in the summer of 2011.
KRAMPUS will join forces with WINTERSUN, KORPIKLAANI, VARG and TROLLFEST for the “Heidenfest 2012” tour in October/November.
