MÖTLEY CRÜE Bassist Throws Out First Pitch At Los Angeles Dodgers Vs. Houston Astros Game

MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx threw out the first pitch at yesterday’s (Sunday, May 27) game between Los Angeles Dodgers and Houston Astros at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California. Afterwards, Sixx commented, “Really grateful being from Los Angeles to be invited to throw out the first pitch today at Dodger stadium (YES, I can throw a ball). The Dodgers are on a winning streak and you could feel it in the air everywhere today. (New owners surely helps, too.)

“My family had a blast and it was nice for me to connect with the great [boxer] Victor Ortiz, who I think is a great fighter. If you remember back, I was really disappointed in Floyd Mayweather for the sucker punch he threw at Victor, and after meeting [Victor], I see what a class act he was for not slagging Floyd in the press after that cheap shot.. Here we are hanging out [see photo below]….

“What a great day…”

In the summer of 2009, Sixx and POISON frontman Bret Michaels were among the celebrities whose faces were seen on billboards around Los Angeles as part of the Los Angeles Dodgers‘ outdoor messaging campaign centered around the tagline “L.A. is my town.” Other celebrities and movie characters who were featured in the campaign included Kim Kardashian, Oscar De La Hoya, Yoda (of “Star Wars”), Tara Lapinski (former figure skater) and Clout (local extreme sports pros).
