MÖTLEY CRÜE, KISS Tour Truck Involved In Road Accident; Detroit Concert Postponed

A truck transporting some of the equipment for MÖTLEY CRÜE‘s tour with KISS was involved in a road accident en route to the two bands’ concert tonight (Wednesday, September 5) at the DTE Energy Music Theatre in Clarkston, Michigan.

MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx posted three post-accident photos of the truck — which ended up on its side — on his Twitter account and wrote, “Thank god our driver is OK.”

MÖTLEY CRÜE and KISS‘s tour — dubbed simply “The Tour” — kicked off on July 20 in Bristow, Virginia and is currently scheduled to wrap on September 23 in Hartford, Connecticut. Although the bands are officially co-headlining the tour, MÖTLEY CRÜE is opening for KISS each night.
