MÖTLEY CRÜE singer Vince Neil recently spoke to VEVO News about being the first hard rock band to ever launch a Las Vegas residency at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel Casino.
“For me, it was really awesome, because I got to go home at night,” Vince said. “Just being in a situation where you didn’t move the band at the end of the show was fun. The crew didn’t have to set everything up and tear everything down. The first night was a little rough, because things didn’t work perfectly, but it was good by the third show, and everything worked perfectly, everybody hit their cues after that. Hopefully we do it again sometime.”
When asked about the parallels between MÖTLEY‘s image and the Sin City vibe of Vegas, Vince said, “Well, Vegas is all about shows, it’s all about extremes, and extreme entertainment, and that’s what MÖTLEY CRÜE has always been known for. People from all over loved it. It was great because it was like touring, because it was such a transient city; I always asked the crowd who was from out of town, and two-thirds of the place would always yell and raise their hands… (laughs) You can basically tour the world while staying in that city!”
