PAPA ROACH Frontman ‘Having Vocal Issues’; South American Tour Canceled

PAPA ROACH‘s South American tour, which was scheduled to kick off this week, has been canceled. Guitarist Jerry Horton states: “Jacoby [Shaddix] is having vocal issues, and has been ordered to rest. We will be rescheduling the tour for next year.”

A year ago, PAPA ROACH officially dropped off the Rockstar Energy Uproar Festival after just one week, with Shaddix needing surgery to remove a nodule on his vocal cord. He stated at the time: “The last thing we want to do is give our fans less than 100% every night. We know they’ll understand and we’ll be back better than ever.”

Asked by the Armed Forces Network at the end of last year how his voice was holding up, Shaddix said, “Voice is great. I’m slaying it on the shows so far and I feel really good. I was definitely blessed to go to the right doctor and get my surgery performed by him. It was scary, but I’m good.”

The throat problems followed a tough period during which Shaddix split and reconciled with his wife of 15 years and also fell off the wagon.
