SOLUTION .45 Parts Ways With Bassist

SOLUTION .45 — the Swedish/Finnish progressive metal “supergroup” which features in its ranks former SCAR SYMMETRY vocalist Christian Älvestam — has parted ways with bassist Anders Edlund. According to the band, “This is very much a mutual split, based on a mutual understanding. With that said, we’d like to thank Anders for his contributions and years in the band, wishing him good luck in his future endeavors. Although our musical journey ends, our friendship will stay intact.”

Regarding his decision to leave SOLUTION .45, Edlund said in a statement, “My private situation makes it impossible to put as much effort into this machinery needed and as I would want to in order to make the best possible outcome. And in order not to be a hindrance for the other guys on their journey I simply choose to stand aside.”

“I have the biggest respect for my Swedish and Finnish brothers in SOLUTION .45. I’m sure they will keep this machinery going and there are no hard feelings between us at all since this is a decision made through mutual understanding. I simply just want them to continue spreading the fabulous music of SOLUTION .45.”

SOLUTION .45‘s debut album, “For Aeons Past”, was released in Europe in April 2010 and in North America one month later. The CD was recorded at Panic Room studios in with producer Tomas “Plec” Johansson and was made available in Japan through Marquee/Avalon. The album features lyrics written entirely by Mikael Stanne of DARK TRANQUILLITY. The cover artwork was created by Pär Olofsson.

Guitarist Jani Stefanovic left SOLUTION .45 in 2010 for “personal reasons.” He has since been replaced by Patrik Gardberg of TORCHBEARER, THE FEW AGAINST MANY and AMMOTRACK.
