Dead Press! conducted an interview with Massachusetts rockers STAIND when the band played the Academy 2 in Manchester on October 8. You can now listen to the chat in the YouTubeclip below.
The new self-titled seventh album from STAIND sold 47,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No, 5 on The Billboard 200 chart. The band’s previous CD, “The Illusion Of Progress”, opened with 92,000 units to debut at No. 3.
STAIND topped the chart with 2001’s “Break The Cycle”, 2003’s “14 Shades Of Grey”, and 2005’s “Chapter V”.
Produced by Johnny K – known for his work with 3 DOORS DOWN, DISTURBED, and SEVENDUST, not to mention his Grammy Award-nominated collaboration with STAIND, 2008’s “The Illusion Of Progress” — and mixed by the legendary Chris Lord-Alge, “Staind” stands as STAIND‘s most intense and powerful work to date.
