STEVEN TYLER To Sing National Anthem At AFC Championship Game

According to ESPN.go.com, AEROSMITH singer Steven Tyler will perform the national anthem at Sunday’s (January 22) AFC Championship game at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

Tyler and AEROSMITH have strong Boston ties, and according to Patriots owner Robert Kraft, Tyler “has been a loyal, good Pats fan.”

Tyler‘s May 27, 2001 version of “The Star-Spangled Banner” at the 85th Indianapolis 500 — where he came under criticism after he replaced “home of the brave'” with “home of the Indianapolis 500” — in 2010 made Billboard magazine’s “10 worst national anthem performances ever.”

Tyler immediately apologized and reaffirmed his patriotism after the incident.
