THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN: New Video Interview On BEN WEINMAN

Jamie of HardRockChick.com conducted an interview with THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN guitarist Ben Weinman this past weekend prior to the band’s one-off midnight show (while on tour with DEFTONES) at the Beauty Bar in Austin, Texas. Topics included the disposable nature of Weinman‘s guitars, the band’s technical but chaotic live performances, and their “bromance” with Trent Reznor.

THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN‘s latest album, “Option Paralysis”, was re-released in a “Paralyzing Edition” exclusively as a digital download. This first-anniversary reissue includes four bonus tracks, plus a video in the iTunes version.

“Option Paralysis” “Paralyzing Edition” track listing:

“Option Paralysis” sold around 7,100 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 78 on The Billboard 200 chart. This was roughly in line with the opening tally of the band’s previous album, “Ire Works”, which landed at No. 142 on the Billboard chart after premiering with 6,900 units back in November 2007.

Released on March 23, 2010, “Option Paralysis”, recorded in Orange County, California with longtime collaborator/producer Steve Evetts (THE USED, GLASSJAW, EVERY TIME I DIE), is the debut release for the band’s brand new label Party Smasher Inc./Season Of Mist.
