Vocalist Guido Krämer has left THE GATE, the German metal band featuring former RUNNING WILD (1982-1985) guitarist Gerald “Preacher” Warnecke.
Said Guido in a statement: “In recent months, there were constant disagreements. It was always about the songwriting and the external representation.
“I left the THE GATE in friendship and I wish them all the best in the future.
“I sincerely thank you all for your support!
“Of course I will continue to rock!
“Support THE GATE and my new projects!”
THE GATE is currently seeking a replacement singer.
The band’s debut album, “Earth Cathedral”, was released last summer via Rock It Up Records. The CD was recorded at Big Easy Studio near Hennef, Germany with producer Michael “Freio” Haas and featured a guest appearance by Preacher‘s son Korbinian Warnecke on 12-string guitar on the song “1000 Miles Away”.
