TORTURE KILLER To Enter Studio Tomorrow

Finnish death metallers TORTURE KILLER will enter the studio tomorrow (Friday, January 4) to begin recording their next album for a tentative March/April release. The band states, “Santeri Salmi is coming here tomorrow and we will start tracking the drums in Noisecamp Studios (Turku). We were very pleased with the sound we got with him for our ‘I Chose Death’ EP, and are sure we are able to tweak things here and there to make this sound even better.”

The group adds: “Going into the studio has never felt this relaxed. We have nine songs on the list; we’ll see if all of ’em end up being on the album. No title yet. We will let you know once that is set.”

TORTURE KILLER released a three-song EP entitled “I Chose Death” in March 2012 via Dynamic Arts Records. It contained two new tracks and a cover version of DEMIGOD‘s “Succumb To Dark” song from the “Unholy Domain” demo tape. The cover artwork was created by Mark Riddick.

“I Chose Death” marked the recording debut of TORTURE KILLER‘s new singer, Pessi Haltsonen (RETALIATORY MEASURES), who is described by his new bandmates as “a perfect fit” and “a human powerhouse.”

TORTURE KILLER‘s third album, “Sewers” came out in 2009 via Dynamic Arts Records.

The band’s sophomore CD, “Swarm!”, was released by Metal Blade Records and featured legendary death metal vocalist Chris Barnes from CANNIBAL CORPSE and SIX FEET UNDER.
