Drummer Vinny Appice (HEAVEN HELL, BLACK SABBATH, DIO) was interviewed for the latest edition of “The Metal File” podcast from Montreal’s CHOM-FM. Appice talked about the Blu-ray release of HEAVEN HELL‘s “Live At The Radio City Music Hall”; the “Drum Wars” battle featuring Vinny and his brother Carmine (KING KOBRA, VANILLA FUDGE, OZZY OSBOURNE, BLUE MURDER); and Vinny‘s new band KILL DEVIL HILL, which also features Rex Brown (DOWN, PANTERA). HEAVEN HELL‘s “Live At Radio City Music Hall” 2007 concert was released on Blu-ray disc on May 17 via Eagle Rock Entertainment. The Blu-ray contains lots of bonus features that were not on the original DVD.

KILL DEVIL HILL is the new band featuring Appice on drums, Rex Brown on bass, Mark Zavon (RATT, W.A.S.P., 40 CYCLE HUM) on guitar and Jason “Dewey” Bragg (PISSING RAZORS) on vocals. The group made its live debut on April 29 at the Key Club in Hollywood, California. The group played a 30-minute set which was previously described as “an introduction to what’s to come!”
